Across Town

Recently, my future brother-in-law told me that the area Belleville in Paris made a nice change from the more high-rise vistas of the 15th Arrondisement. Both Manu and I enjoy visiting new places, so we made the trip across town to take a look. It certainly is more animated, colourful and typical than other parts of Paris. There are loads of shop fronts packed closely together and I have the impression that it’s more populated than our part of town. We wandered a bit taking in the atmosphere, and soon enough we found this very cool graffitied wall, and cute side street. We didn’t stay too long. Our bellies were rumbling, and the weather was changing.

We headed back to the 15th for a late lunch. Even if it faces high-rise buildings, our lunch destination was still cosy, friendly and welcoming. So while it’s nice to visit new places, it can be equally as nice to come home.
